Ken and Linda Johnson-Owners
Proud to Be a WLRA Member- America’s Best Value Inn-Sheridan
Long time WLRA members Kenric and Linda Johnson bought the Energy Inn, Sheridan, in July 1994 after returning to the States from a development project Ken was working on in Zaire, Africa. Although Linda’s family business was in motels in North Dakota, Ken would tell me that his time in Africa with his family helping identify and develop sustainable food varieties, and the challenges of living, working, and going to school in a French-speaking developing country, would prepare them for the complexity and long hours of operating an independent lodging property. After changing the name to the Evergreen Inn to reflect the rugged wilderness of Wyoming, Ken and Linda got to work updating the motel and building its reputation.
